Patient Safety

Your Safety is Our Top Priority

At DISC Surgery Center, your safety is always our primary concern. We are your advocates first and foremost, and we go above and beyond to ensure that you and your loved ones are protected throughout your care journey.

We strictly adhere to AAAHC guidelines, complemented by our own rigorous safety protocols. With a high nurse-to-patient ratio, we prioritize personalized attention and rapid response to your needs. Our lead operating room nurse maintains clear, direct communication with the physician performing your procedure, ensuring that every team member is aligned on your safety and well-being.

Dedicated to a Safe and Secure Experience

Before your procedure, your physician will determine your eligibility based on well-established, evidence-based guidelines. DISC’s trained staff will review your health history and coordinate with your personal physician to address any specific safety needs. An anesthesiologist will then review your medical history and reach out to discuss the anesthesia plan, ensuring you feel informed and at ease.

Safety is central to every aspect of our facility and is woven into our policies, procedures, and training. DISC Surgery Center meets and exceeds all regulatory safety requirements. Our team is continuously trained on the latest safety protocols, and we empower every staff member to question or improve procedures in the best interests of patient safety. Our safety and advisory committees routinely review cases, recommend quality improvements, and explore new ways to advance patient safety and optimize outcomes.
