Kristopher Downing, MD, is a board-certified orthopedic and hand surgeon at Ortho 1 Medical Group in San Diego and La Jolla, California. A fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), Dr. Downing specializes in treating conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, and wrist arthroscopy, as well as performing arthroscopic surgery on the knees, shoulders, and elbows. After earning his medical degree from UCLA, he completed his surgical residency at the University of Pennsylvania and a hand surgery fellowship at the University of Southern California (USC). Dedicated to providing minimally invasive and patient-focused care, Dr. Downing combines his expertise and compassionate approach to help patients recover from injury, regain mobility, and return to the activities they love.
