Dr. Kureshi is a highly experienced board-certified neurosurgeon with over twenty years of practice in San Diego. He joined NMC in 2000 after completing his residency at Duke University. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, San Diego, and a medical degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Medicine. His training includes a general surgery internship and a neurosurgery residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he was the chief neurosurgical resident.
As a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Neurological Surgeons, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the Western Neurosurgical Society, the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the North American Spine Society. Dr. Kureshi is dedicated to providing compassionate and personalized healthcare. He collaborates closely with his patients to ensure they receive the best treatment options available.
Dr. Kureshi has contributed to the field through various peer-reviewed publications and has co-authored chapters in notable neurosurgery texts. Outside of his professional life, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, surfing, and racing, actively participating in wheel-to-wheel race car driving.
He sees patients at the Convoy Street office and has privileges at multiple hospitals, including Sharp Memorial Hospital, Sharp Grossmont Hospital, Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, Scripps Mercy Hospital and Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla.
